This system is based on three Cognex D900 vision systems. By using overdrive illuminators with infrared light and shielding the vision systems from external light, it was possible to create very stable systems that identify various clips mounted on heatshields. The systems check different variants of details on which specific clip configurations are to be present. Additionally, one of the systems checks whether the correct socket for the laser engraver has been installed.
